Electrical pulses, e.g. produced by an antilock braking system, are monitored during normal vehicle operation. In the event of a sudden change in the pulse rate produced by the device when the vehicle stops or skids on a slippery surface, the changing rate is used to trigger operation of the hazard lights.- DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An interface module ensures that the hazard warning light system cannot interfere with the operation of the antilock brakes.
