<p>A larger scrubbing machine (20) and a smaller scrubbing machine (24) are provided in combination. The larger scrubbing machine (20) scrubs larger floor areas and the smaller scrubbing machine (24) scrubs smaller floor areas that are typically inaccessible by the larger machine (20). When the larger machine (20) is being used, the smaller scrubbing machine (24) is attached thereto. When a smaller floor area is to be cleaned, the smaller scrubbing machine (24) is removed from the larger scrubbing machine (20). The smaller scrubbing machine (24) includes a scrubber assembly (150) and a motor (144) that is powered using an electrical power source (40) located on the larger machine (20). A spring (232) is operatively connected to this scrubber assembly (150) for ensuring desired contact between the brush bristles (216) and the floor area being cleaned. Two spaced-apart pairs of wheels (240, 244) provide a uniform plane of contact during scrubbing by the scrubber assembly (150). The smaller scrubbing machine (24) also has a pivotal wand (88) to further facilitate the scrubbing operation, particularly removal of recovered liquid from the floor.</p> |
