Steel pipes used in mining or tunnel construction are inserted into the tunnel in the shape of segments, which are joined by welding with the tunnel and the pipe space filled with concrete. The wall of the pipes have a thickness of one per cent of their diameter in order to stay in shape during the filling of the spaces and are supported from inside by a movable support construction for the time of the filling.
