摘要 To reduce the imbalance in the rotation of a roller (100), a bending action is effected on the roller plane (A) against the rotating imbalance action. A unit (15) is at one end of the roller body (10) and the keyed bending carrier (8) to apply a radial force between them. A similar unit is at the other end of the roller body (10) and the bending carrier (8) or a further narrow radial collar. The force is applied in a fixed direction against the roller body (10) in the peripheral direction. The correcting assembly (30) generates its force in a fixed working plane against the machine pillars (4), in only a mechanical action through components in a positive fit with each other. The assembly (30) has at least three linear drives as piston/cylinder units (18), distributed round the circumference, with an opposing radial action. The linear drives have a hydraulic, electric, piezo electric or magnetostrictive action. The connection for the rotating energy is at the correction assembly (30) at one end of the roller body (10) at the end (8') of the bending carrier (8), with connecting cables (19) in or on the carrier (8) linked to the assembly (30). A ring (16) at the end of the roller defines a gap between it and the end (8') of the bending carrier (8) as a space for the linear drives (18). A monitor (28) registers rotating imbalance at the roller body (10) and a monitor (24) registers the angular position of the roller body (10). They are linked to a control which triggers the assembly (30) to apply a radial force according to the signals from the monitors (24,28).
