Method for triggering locks operated by electric motors

A motor is powered for a preset time less than the adjustment time needed for transferring a lock from one operating state to another. Inertia movement operates the appropriate parts of the lock, in order to reduce kinetic energy in those parts as much as possible up to the point of completing the locking process. Required supplementary power is fed to the motor in a second phase for a desired setting after triggering. This causes the motor to operate with more electric power.
