Conveyer belt with side flanges for moist bulk solids

The conveyer (1) has a supporting frame (2) with stiffened side-members (3), each of which has horizontal flanges (9) lending support to the endless belt (13). Each end of the side-members has adjustable drums (37,38) linking the two sides and returning the belt at the extremity. At each end the horizontal flanges extend the full width of the frame to provide a continual surface. The inwards-directed surface (39) of the conveyer belt has thickened areas (40) that run along the flange edges and act as directional guides.
