The specific sealing element (20) is made of metal (20A) with a soft rubber coated edge (22A,22B) and is attached to one end of the pipe, belonging to the air conditioning system of a car, which is separated by a flanged area from the main pipe. The pulling device (1) consists of a clamp with two semicircular jaws (46), which can be attached to the metal part (20A) of the seal (20), and several rotating cylindrical elements which are operated with two hand wheels (64,76) in order to remove the seal (20) without damaging the pipe. The device (1) can also be used for the installation of a new seal (20).
