The internal combustion engine cylinder head has integral bolt bores (6) in its periphery positioned in the partition wall and external wall joints defining a closed coolant chamber. The upper edges of the joint areas adjacent to the bores are cut away (8) to prevent transmission of loads through the bore walls while preserving sealing.
