<p>A controller instructs a demultiplexer to select a transport stream based on the user's attempt, and it is supplied to a VTR through an I/F circuit. The I/F circuit of the VTR supplies the transport stream to the recording/reproducing apparatus to store it, and transmits EIT data to a TV where the data is supplied to a program guide GUI generator. The GUI generator generates GUI data based on the input EIT data, and a cassette memory device of the VTR stores it in the cassette memory. For reproduction, the GUI data read from the cassette memory device is supplied to the program guide GUI generator, and the contents of the program guide recorded on the cassette tape is displayed. Thus, program guide information recorded on the cassette tape is automatically displayed.</p> |
