<p>The terminal controller of a display device (2), etc., stores a control program in a storage device, such as a flash ROM (2b) etc., in which data can be reloaded electrically. In addition, a card connector (2d) is incorporated in the terminal controller so that the controller can update the control program by shifting a control program for updating to the storage device from a memory card storing the control program for updating when the memory card is inserted into the card connector (2d). Moreover, the terminal controller is made to inform a main controller (1) that the terminal controller starts updating operations at the time of starting the updating operations so as to prevent the controller (1) from executing communication abnormality processing even when the terminal controller does not respond to the main controller (1) during the updating operations. Therefore, a controller for automatic vending machine which is provided with a plurality of terminal controllers and a main controller which generalizes and controls the terminal controllers can easily update the control programs of the terminal controllers without making abnormality processing.</p> |
