The invention concerns a vehicle battery-type electric power supply device comprising a base whereon rests a case, said case being provided in its underneath surface with electrical connections opposite the base electrical connections, said base and said case also comprising matching mechanical connection means. The invention is characterised in that the base comprises a housing (10) provided with a removable cover and in the base whereof emerges flat two diametrically opposed metal linkages (15, 16) and forming part of the electric circuit, said linkages front end defining between them a separation (6), said two linkages being maintained in electrical contact via a connecting cylindrical contact pin (17) supported on them at the separation, a balance weight (18) maintaining said pin in position by gravity, said balance weight further comprising means for being maintained in position enabling it to move in the event of an impact on the vehicle, said movement releasing the cylindrical pin from its position between the linkages so that the electric circuit is open. |
