Analysis of the development of a process control network

A topological analysis tool has a computer with a processor and memory containing an analysis tool with information about criteria of a standard protocol. The computer can be supplied with information about the length and cable type of the process control network bus and about the voltage requirement of a field equipment. The analysis tool analyses this information to ensure that the development of the network corresponding to the standard protocol criteria. An Independent claim is also included for a device for analysis of the development of a process control network.
