Method of selecting bacterial strains

A process for selecting non-pathogenic bacterial colonies, capable of being fixed to tissue adhesion receptor sites is new. A process for selecting non-pathogenic bacterial colonies, capable of being fixed to tissue adhesion receptor sites is new and comprises: (a) contacting in vitro the receptors with the bacterial colonies; (b) adding a derived (especially labeled) antibody against the receptors; (c) or the addition of a detection agent for the detection of the antibodies; and (d) detecting the presence of the formed complex between the antibodies and the receptors. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a therapeutic composition comprising a bacterial colony selected by the above method; and (2) use of the non pathogenic bacterial colonies selected by the above method useful for a therapeutic composition for preventing or treating the pathological troubles associated with infection by non pathogenic bacteria.
