An operating device for a vehicle door has at least one door drive (12) controllable by a control device (11) between the vehicle bodywork (10) and the pivoting door (9). The drive is for opening and closing movement of the door. An individual operating force (13) of a passenger operating the vehicle door in the opening or closing direction is detected and is passed to the control device as a signal (11). The control device controls the door drive as a force amplifier for the individual operating force to apply an automatic operating force to the vehicle door. The magnitude of the automatic operating force given by the door drive is controllable by the control device. |
