<p>A highly durable organic EL element which luminesces at a sufficient brightness especially at long wavelengths and retains the satisfactory luminescent performance over long; and compounds for use in producing the element. The compounds have a basic skeleton represented by formula (1), wherein R1 to R8 each represents hydrogen or optionally substituted aryl or alkenyl, provided that at least six of R1 to R8 are optionally substituted aryl or alkenyl.</p> |
