Method and apparatus for lowering the voltage of an intermediate circuit of an electrical injection moulding machine

During the time periods of an injection molding cycle in which the drive motors (2) are rotated at a speed (n) below a set value the intermediate circuit tension (UZK) of the current transverter is reduced. An independent claim is made for the process equipment which includes either an electromechanical or electronic switch (7) connected to a rectifier bridging switch and switching this on and off, or a voltage controller connected to a thyristor switch for reducing the intermediate circuit tension (UZK) to a set value. Preferably the intermediate circuit tension (UZK) is reduced by a switching signal or set value being transmitted from the machine control unit(3) to the input of the intermediate circuit (1). The switching signal is an on-off signal at a rectifier bridging switch (4) of the circuit (1) or the set value is a voltage fed to a voltage controller which reduces the intermediate circuit tension to the set value via a thyristor switch.
