<p>A treated fibrous polyamide substrate having durable resistance to staining by acid colorants comprising a fibrous polyamide substrate having applied thereto an aqueous solution of a sulfonated, phosphated resol resin and a methacrylic polymer or copolymer of high number average molecular weight, and preferably high weight average molecular weight and optionally, fluorochemical; and the method of treating said substrate with the solution to render it durable to staining by acid colorants.</p> |
