FIELD: food industry, mycology. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the process of edible mushrooms culturing. An organic addition has 40-60% of starch and 40-60% of calcium hydroxide. Method of preparing the addition involves thorough stirring calcium hydroxide and starch at ratios 40-60% followed by keeping under normal conditions for 36 h, not less. The presence of calcium hydroxide as a bactericide agent ensures to decrease the content of nondesirable microflora in starch sharply. An addition "Bioaktivator" is used for growing higher basidial mushrooms Pleurotus ostreatus. An organic addition can be used as a fertilizer for vegetables in hot-houses also. The use of an organic addition increases the yield of fruit body mushrooms by 15-20% due to enrichment of substrate with sugars and self-sterilization of the mixture.
