PURPOSE:To provide an air bag device capable of improving the strength of a flange part of a pad against the tensile force when an air bag is expanded without increasing the number of assembling holes of a bag holder or the pad. CONSTITUTION:In an air bag device M1, mutual flange parts 8, 5 of a bag holder 6 to hold a folded air bag 1 and a pad 3 to cover the circumference of the air bag 1 are tightened by arranging a wear plate 9 on the peripheral edge of assembling holes 5a of the air bag 1, and by making use of rivets 11 to be inserted into mutual assembling holes 8a, 5a and through holes 9a of the wear plate 9. The pad 3 is provided with a recessed part 5b on the peripheral edge of the assembling holes 5a on the outside surface of the flange part 5. The wear plate 9 is provided on the peripheral edge of the through holes 9a, and general parts 9c which are provided on the projecting part 9b to be engaged with the recessed part 5b and on the peripheral edge of the projecting part 9b, and is abutted on general surfaces 5c on the peripheral edge of the recessed part 5b of the flange part 5 of the pad 3 are provided. |
