PURPOSE:To provide a luminaire for multiple lamps where fitting tightness of a luminaire main body to a ceiling can be enhanced and switch operation by a pulling cord can be realized by little force. CONSTITUTION:A luminaire comprises a luminaire main body 21 fixed to a ceiling 25 by four fixing screws 22 arranged at intervals of 90 deg.; four annular fluorescent lamps 23 disposed in the luminaire main body 21 at intervals of 90 deg. among the screws 22; four ballasts 24 provided in the luminaire main body 21 in such a manner as to be positioned in an inside space E surrounded by an annular bulb 23a of each lamp 23; and a light controller 36 detachably secured to the luminaire main body 21, for covering the lamps 23. The ballasts 24 are disposed such that the centers W of gravity thereof are positioned inside of a square support region F defined by connecting the four fixing screws 22. Consequently, it is possible to reduce downward deflection of the peripheral sides 21a of the luminaire main body 21 caused by the weight of the ballasts 24. |
