FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: lock has key with handle and rod with ribs. Ribs are provided with key code formed as code platforms. Lock is further provided with mechanism including member engageable with actuating device, working mode change-over switch and casing with rod guiding opening, sleeve positioned in guiding opening, spring-biased stems engageable with code channels by means of pins. Stems are mounted in holder grooves for movement and engagement by means of probes with code platforms and movable control covers provided with key-shaped holes. Lock mechanism has code made in the form of code grooves having slots connected via depressions. Working mode change-over switch has two ratchet mechanisms formed as mutually spring-loaded catches positioned in channel of sleeve mounted in casing and adapted for engagement with depressions on casing and control cover. Member cooperating with actuating device is made in form of teeth on control cover. EFFECT: simplified construction and reduced thickness of lock, enhanced reliability in operation. 2 cl, 16 dwg
