APPARATUS FOR DRYING LADLES

FIELD: ferrous and non-ferrous metallurgy, possibly drying and heating linings of steel-pouring and casting ladles. SUBSTANCE: apparatus includes cover mounted with gap relative to upper end of ladle. Gap is sealed by means of flexible device in the form of set of chains arranged by several rows along perimeter of lower generatrix of cover. Links of adjacent chains and chain rows are arranged in staggered fashion. Length of chains overlaps upper end of ladle. EFFECT: simplified maintenance, reduced operation period, reliable sealing providing possibility for heating and drying ladles of wide range of types and dimensions. 3 dwg
