FIELD: automatic control equipment, in particular, for spacecraft control systems. SUBSTANCE: method involves independent alternate setting of control signal duration tau<SB>d</SB> and control signal pause tau<SB>p</SB> according fixed values of measured input signal so that no delay is added in control system. Corresponding relay regulator has analog-to-digital converter, memory unit, digital comparator, flip-flop, multiplexer, generator and pulse counter. Target parameters tau<SB>d</SB> and tau<SB>p</SB> depending on input signal are stored in memory unit, so that relay regulator adds no delay in control system due to continuous comparison of real values to target ones.
