PURPOSE:To enable to quickly stop a servo motor without generating vibration and hunting by a method wherein the servo amplifier output is turned to zero when an error signal becomes within allowable error limits and a servo motor is short-circuited with the low output impedance of the servo amplifier. CONSTITUTION:The error voltage of an error detector 1 is inputted to a comparator 4 together with a reference voltage VRef, a change-over switch S1 is changed to a terminal (b) from a terminal (a) by the output signal sent from the comparator 4 when the error voltage drops below the reference voltage VRef and the applying voltage to the servo amplifier 2 is forcedly turned to zero potential. At this point, as for the servo amplifier, one having a low impedance is used and the output voltage of the servo amplifier 2 becomes zero when its input voltage is zero. As a result, the servo motor 3, which drives a controlled system P, is forcedly short-circuited by the low output impedance of the servo amplifier 2 and the servo motor 3 comes to a stop quickly. |
