Heat accumulator and economiser for domestical gas-fired boilers

The heat accumulator and economiser comprises a metal drum, preferably of cast iron, comprising a disc-shaped base (2) approx 1 cm thick and a series of projecting cylindrical bars set in concentric circles. The bars are some 15 cm long and are separated by gaps of a size equivalent to their diameter. They can be aligned or in staggered rows, and there is a space inside the central ring of bars for the burner flame to penetrate.
