PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the optical device for optical recording and its manufacture which can manufacture a condenser lens closely relating to recording density improvement with high precision at low cost and have superior performance. SOLUTION: This device is an optical device 3 for optical recording which is equipped with a lens body 5 for irradiating an optical recording medium D with laser beam for recording and reproducing information, and the lens body 5 is characterized by that the lens body is formed of single crystal having a refractive index of >=2.5 and optical anisotropy, and the axis of light incidence is set to an angle larger than 0 deg. to the optical axis of the single crystal. |
