<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a highly versatile thermogensis promoter with slight central side effects, useful in the prevention/treatment of obesity and diseases associated therewith by making the promoter include a specific aminoketone derivative as active ingredient. SOLUTION: This thermogenesis promoter contains, as active ingredient, a compound of formula I [Ar is a (substituted) phenyl which may be condensed; (n) is 1-10; R is H or a (substituted) hydrocarbon; Y is a (substituted) amino or (substituted) nitrogen-contg. saturated heterocycle] or a salt thereof, e.g. 3-(1-acetyl-4-piperidinyl)-1-[3-(phenylmethyl)-2,3,4,5-tetrahydro-1H-3 -benzazepin-7- yl]-1-propanone. It is recommended that the compound of formula I is obtained by reaction between a compound (salt) of formula II [R<1> is H, a (substituted) hydrocarbon, acyl or the like] and a compound (salt) of formula III (Z<1> is an eliminable group; W is a protecting group for the amino group; (n) is 3-6) in a solvent such as dichloromethane at a temp. of -30 to 150 deg.C for 0.7-72 h.</p> |
