The holding and emptying device includes two clamping strips (4), and a mechanism (11) for moving the clamping strips between a released position and a locking position where they clamped with a major portion of the length of the bag neck. The clamping strip movement mechanism comprises fixtures (12-14) for locking the strips into position. At least one of the strips has a handle for carrying the strips and the bag clamped in between them. Bars (16, 17) forming clamping strip extensions at one end are used to form a closure clamp (15) for an open end part of the bag neck, at least one of the bars being pivotably connected to the strip, allowing it to swing into and away from a position where the bars close the bag neck. Manually opened and closed locking fixtures (18, 19) are provided at the free ends of the bars. |
