OPTICAL DISK WITH TILT DETECTION PATTERN

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the optical disk recording medium where a pattern for judging a tilt quantity more in detail is recorded as to a recording medium for an optical disk player. SOLUTION: This invented recording medium is characterized by that an optical disk where a code sequence having a pit pattern or mirror pattern is recorded on tracks formed concentrically or spirally has tilt detection patterns 20 and 22 with specific code sequences recorded in at least its partial area. Consequently, an ordinary 4-division optical detector can detect the tilt of the disk without any special device like a photocoupler by recording the patterns for tilt detection in some area on the disk.
