PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device capable of improving reliability by preventing the excessive current from continuously flowing to a photoreceptor drum. SOLUTION: In this device, the photoreceptor drum 12 is constituted of metal and grounded, and a surface thereof is covered by an photoconductor layer 12a. An electrifier 13 is held in contact with this photoconductor layer 12a, a specific bias voltage is applied from an electrifying power source 34 to the electrifier 13, and the photoconductor layer 12a is electrified to the specific voltage. On the input side of the electrifying power source 34, an instantaneous discontinuity fuse 52 is disposed across a current detecting resistor 35. This instantaneous cutoff fuse 52 is fused in the case that the current flow It flowing into the electrifying power source 34 exceeds a specific value, and a controlling circuit 38 is, on detecting the above, allowed to stop printing process by stopping feeding the bias voltage on a feeding roller 21, a developing roller 22, a transferring roller 16 and so on, and to perform paper discharge processing by rotating only a motor for a specified time. |
