PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an ink which difficultly adheres to the inside wall of a (translucent) transparent ink holder and is capable of the recognition of the volume of the remaining ink by incorporating a colorant, a solvent, a fatty acid amide wax, and an oil incompatible with the fatty acid amide wax in a specified ratio. SOLUTION: This ink comprises, desirably, 5-50 wt.%, based on the total amount of the ink, colorant (e.g. dye and/or pigment); desirably, 10-90 wt.%, based thereon, solvent (e.g. ethylene glycol monophenyl ether or benzyl alcohol); desirably, 0.1-5 wt.%, thereon, fatty acid amide wax; and, desirably 0.5-10 wt.%, based thereon, oil incompatible with the fatty acid amide wax, desirably, a silicone oil with side chains modified with an aliphatic hydrocarbon, more desirably, alkyl-modified silicone oil represented by the formula (wherein R1 to R3 are each Cx H2x+1 ; and x, m, and n are each an integer of 1 or greater). |
