PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an interphone device which is adaptable to a portable video telephone terminal and whose function can be controlled, set or changed from the terminal equipment so as to improve the convenience of a user and to provide burglar prevention. SOLUTION: By the switching means of the master unit 2 of an interphone, communication between the master unit and a slave unit (home mode) or communication between a portable video telephone terminal and the slave unit (transfer mode) is selected. When the transfer mode is selected, the portable video telephone terminal 1 is connected from the slave unit 3 through the master unit 2 by utilizing a PHS line communication network to allow the interphone to be operated, and the automatic answering function of the master unit 2 and visitor photographing are set from the portable video telephone terminal 1. Also, the master unit 2 is connected from the portable video telephone terminal 1 by utilizing the communication network and the setting of the switching means is changed. |
