<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the deterioration of developer, to prevent image defect such as a white stripe and ghost, and to improve the uniformity of image density. SOLUTION: This device is equipped with a 1st magnetic field generating means provided in a developing container 2 on a downstream side from a developing part in the rotating direction of a developer carrier 10, and a 2nd magnetic field generating means provided on the downstream side of the 1st magnetic field generating means in the rotating direction of the carrier 10 and having the same polarity as the 1st magnetic field generating means, and a magnetic field generating means 11 is constituted so that a repulsive pole area where the intensity of magnetic field in the vertical direction of the surface of the carrier 10 is <=50 G may be provided between the 1st and the 2nd magnetic field generating means. A developer regulating means 30 is arranged near the opposed position of the 2nd magnetic field generating means of the carrier 10, and the magnetic carrier is set so that its average particle size is <=6μm and saturation magnetization is <=50 emu/g.</p> |
