<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device for diagnosing the failure of a controller for judging which controller among plural controllers breaks down. SOLUTION: When the comparing function of a first controller 1 is normal, a second controller 2 operates an arithmetic operation, based on a numerical value transmitted from the first controller 1, and transmits the result to the first controller 1. When the arithmetic result is compared with a preliminarily stored numerical value, and they are not made coincident, a control means 1d judges that the arithmetic function of the second controller 2 has been broken down. When they are made coincident, the control means 1d judges that the arithmetic function of the second controller 2 is normal, and diagnoses the comparing function of the second controller 2. When the comparing function of the second controller 2 is normal, the first controller 1 operates an arithmetic operation, based on a numeric value transmitted from the second controller 2, and transmits the result to the second controller 2. When the arithmetic result is compared with a preliminarily stored numeric value, and they are not made coincident, a control means 2d judges that the arithmetic function of the first controller 1 has been broken down.</p> |
