PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and method for imaging the flow of an ultrasonic scatterer. SOLUTION: This system has a means 20 for pulse driving a predetermined transducer element by use of an encoded pulse sequence which is a function of a transmission code convoluted by a basic pulse sequence, during two firings converged to one transmission focal position. The system has a means 26 for receiving signals of first and second sets from the predetermined transducer element after each of the two firings, a means 30 for forming a first and second beam addition signals from the signals received, a means 32 for forming a first and second compression pulse sequences by compressing the beam addition signals, a filter for high-pass filtering the compression pulse sequences, and a means for estimating a flow parameter at least as a function of the signals high-pass filtered and for displaying an image constructed therefrom. |
