WEATHER STRIP SPONGE MOLDING AND ITS PRODUCTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a seamless weather strip sponge molding having a excellent shape retainability without employing a step in which the straight sponge molding obtained by a continuous extrusion molding is cut and then connected with a different material. SOLUTION: This weather strip sponge molding is compounded of >=10 pts.wt. thermoplastic resin (B) and >=10 pts.wt. carbon black (C) based on 100 pts.wt. olefin-based rubber (A) and obtained by compounding 0.1-10 pts.wt. sulfur and >=1 pt.wt. foaming agent into 40-150 pts.wt. compound, as a whole, of the thermoplastic resin B and the carbon black C and being valcanized. The weather strip sponge molding can be manufactured by this method.
