PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a freely housed chair which never obstructs walking nor action by installing compactly to a wall surface, etc., by simple structure so as to minimize projection from a wall surface, etc. SOLUTION: The chair is provided with a pair of legs 2 arranged in a direction vertical to a floor surface GG, a seat 3 parallelly provided with a seat plate part and a connecting rod forming a pair adjacently arranged in a line, and a housing part 4 buried within a vertical wall surface WW. Then respectively one tip parts of the seat plate part and the connecting rod are freely rotatably connected to around the shaft centers A and B of a pair of shafts fixed to the lower end part of the part 4 and the other end parts of the seat plate part and the connecting rod are freely rotatably connected to around the shaft centers C and D of the pair of shafts. Then, a line, which connects respective shaft centers A→B→D→C→A, form a parallelogram in moving from a parallel position at the time of using to a vertical position at the time of housing of the seat plate part and the connecting rod in the part 4 to form a four-node linking mechanism.
