<p>The process comprises wetting of limestone, and Na2O+K2O/Al2O3 of less than 1.0 molar ratio, with recycle soln. contg. carbonic acid and sodium and potassium salts, for sintering, lixiviation, desilication of the resulting soln., carbonation, and calcining of the resulting aluminium hydroxide. This is followed by evapn. of 30-90 vol.% of the soln. produced by carbonation. The remaining 10-70% of the soln. is used to form the wetting soln., through intermediate carbonation with 5-68 g of carbon dioxide in soln. per litre of the wetting soln..</p> |
