PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control a video conference system intuitionally by controlling video information with a user entry from a pointing device without displaying an icon corresponding to the pointing device. SOLUTION: A display screen 32 is used completely by video information to provide a display 44 of a video image. An icon denoting a position of a pointing device is not given. In the case of a conference view, a setup view is replaced with video information so as to provide a video display without a feedback generated by a computer in response to a position of the pointing device. Thus, a camera motion is controlled in real time in response to a motion of the pointing device, then the displayed video information is controlled by the video conference system without the use of a pointing device icon or other computer generated feedback mechanism that distract the operator. |
