摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a coating compsn. which gives a high-refractive-index hard coat film excellent in weather (light) resistance by incorporating fine inorg. oxide particles contg. rutile titanium oxide having a specified particle size and an organosilicon compd. into the same. SOLUTION: Fine inorg. oxide particles contg. rutile titanium oxide having a particle size of 1-200 m&mu; (e.g. a complex sol of rutile titanium oxide, zirconium oxide, silicon oxide, and tin oxide) and an organosilicon compd. of formula I are incorporated. If necessary, an organosilicon compd. of formula II and/or a polyfunctional epoxy compd. (e.g. 1,6-hexanediol diglycidyl ether) and/or an organozilicon compd. of formula III are also incorporated. In the formulas, R<1> is a 3C or higher org. group having a polymerizable reactive group; X<1> to X<4> are each a hydrolyzable group; R<2> and R<3> are each a 1-6C hydrocarbon group; R<4> is a 1-3C hydrocarbon group; Y is an org. group having a carbonate or epoxy group; and m and n are each 0 or 1.
