摘要 In order to solder rapidly oxidising metals, in particular aluminium, in vacuo or under a protective gas without using fluxes, reliably and with as few limitations as possible in relation to the design of the component and the application of solder, the firmly adhering and dense oxide layers are removed at the soldering points or areas in an amalgamation process and the mercury of the amalgam layer produced is then vaporised on heating the components to soldering temperature. This produces a contamination- and oxide-free metal surface which, because of the absence of oxygen in vacuo or in the protective gas, does not reoxidise, permits a good and satisfactory wetting by the solder and, consequently, the formation of a perfect solder seam.
