摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mounting method by which a substrate can be surely jointed to an enclosure, etc., even when the substrate has a thin and a large area, an antenna and a high-frequency circuit manufactured by a method, a communication system using the antenna and high-frequency circuit, a waveguide which can be designed with high lattitude and can be worked easily, a line converter using the waveguide, a line branching circuit the frequency characteristic of which can be widened, a high- performance antenna and a high-frequency circuit having them, and a communication system using them. SOLUTION: In a substrate welding method, a dielectric substrate 1 can be jointed surely to an enclosure 3, without giving damages to the substrate 1 even when the substrate 1 has a thin and a large area, because the substrate 1 is floated on solder contained in the enclosure 3, and then the excess amount of solder is removed. In addition, a line converter 4 which can be designed with high lattitude and can be worked easily can be obtained by constituting the converter 4 in a ridge waveguide type having a tapered structure. Moreover, the frequency characteristic of a T-branch 5 can be widened by designing and constituting the branch 5 to use as many step impedance converters as possible by suppressing the use of stubs.
