PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid electrolyte superior in adhering strength to an electrode active material layer, and to provide thereby a solid electrolyte secondary battery satisfactory in electrical contact conditions between the solid electrolyte and positive/negative active material layers. SOLUTION: This solid electrolyte secondary battery has a positive electrode, a negative electrode, and a solid electrolyte interposed between them, and the solid electrolyte contains a block copolymer comprising vinylidene fluoride and hexafluoropropylene as a matrix polymer. A membrane of the block copolymer has mechanical toughness and high solvent holding ability for improving drastically the adhering strength, a load characteristic, and a low temperature characteristic when used as the matrix polymer. A constitutional ratio of the hexafluoropropylene is set preferably 3-7.5 wt.%. Its molecular weight is preferably to be 550 thousand or more, and this and a copolymer having weight- average molecular weight from 300 thousand or more up to 500 thousand or less may be used concurrently in combination. |
