PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the time required till obtaining a printed result after designating printing by controlling the start of the action of an electrifying mechanism according to the selection of a processing mode before starting printing. SOLUTION: When a specified time elapses after copying or after turning on a power source, an action mode is switched to a standby state in the image forming device 1, and the rotation of a photoreceptor drum 12 and the electrification of the drum 12 by an electrification device 21 are stopped and the preheating of a fixing device 41 is stopped or reduced. Thus, power consumption is lowered in the device 1. When an operating element 45 for selecting the mode is operated in the standby state, the operation mode of the entire device 1 is switched to correspond to the operation. Furthermore, the action of a motor M rises and the drum 12 starts the rotation, then the electrification for the drum 12 is started by the device 21. Thereafter, when the operating element 45 for copying is operated, the device 1 outputs the printed result in the selected mode. |
