DISPLAY CONTROLLER AND DYNAMIC IMAGE/GRAPHICS COMPOSITE DISPLAY METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a color component of a chromakey color from appearing on a synthesis display image in the case of synthesis display between a graphics image signal having a background area in a chromakey color and a dynamic image signal. SOLUTION: An arithmetic system of filtering processing of horizontal filters 105N, 105C, 105P is changed depending on a chromakey color signal CKEY denoting whether or not pixel data of a graphics image are coincident with a chromakey color. Thus, the arithmetic method is selected for the case that pixel data of the chromakey color are included in pluralities of images being a filtering processing object or for other cases. For example, it is prevented that a color component of a chromakey color that is not to be visible is displayed with mixture by applying arithmetic processing excluding pixel data in the chromakey color at a border between a background area and a foreground area of the graphics image.
