PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a secondary battery which is light-weight and satisfactory in current collectability from a current collecting tub. SOLUTION: This manufacturing method for a secondary battery has an electrode group 1 with a positive electrode and a negative electrode wound via a separator, a cylindrical container 2 for storing the electrode group 1 with an electrolyte, and an output terminal 3 led out from an end face of the cylindrical container 2. A large number of collecting tubs 4 which are led out of the positive electrode or the negative electrode are bent and collected into an end face of the electrode group 1 to form annular projected part 5 by the collecting tubs 4. A metal ring-like or flange-like current collecting part 6 which is connected electrically to the output terminal 3 is inserted into an inside of the projected part 5, and the projected part 5 is welded in a circumferential edge of the collecting part 6. |
