<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove an odor donating agent in town gas efficiently by using an adsorber loaded with copper oxide and manganese oxide to remove sulfur compounds in an atmosphere not containing oxygen when the sulfur compounds in gas are removed by an absorber containing zeolite. SOLUTION: When sulfur compound in gas area adsorbed/removed by an adsorber containing zeolite classified into various kinds such as A-type zeolite, L-type zeolite,β-type zeolite, high silica type zeolite, and faujasite type zeolite by crystal structure, the adsorber loaded with copper oxide, manganese oxide, copper-manganese complex oxide, or a platinum group element is used to remove the sulfur compounds in an atmosphere not containing oxygen. In this way, the sulfur compounds in a fuel gas can be removed effectively over a long period.</p> |
