<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of such trouble as to collide a steel slab with equipment in a plant or fall down the steel slab by providing a positional detecting means in the width direction and in the longitudinal direction of the steel slab. SOLUTION: At the time of holding and lifting down a steel slab 10 on a steel slab carrying device during stopping at a fixed position with a crane lifter, a moment when the lower end of the steel slab 10 obstructs lift-down detecting sensors 4a, 4b, is detected and the timing is made as a triger signal for starting the measurement of a distance. This measurement is continually executed until the steel slab 10 is loaded on a truck 1. Off-range detecting sensors 3a-sd are a sensor for detecting the over-limitation of a shift in the position of the loaded steel slab and constituted with a projector, a light receiver or the like. In the case that this sensor works, such equipment as to once stop the carrying before measuring by a range finder and reload the steel slab through the hand of an operator may be provided. The lift-down detecting sensors 4a, 4b are suitable to use a projector and light receiver type photoelectric sensor, but may use an ultrasonic type, etc.</p> |
