A secondary battery electrode substrate obtained by sintering a porous layer onto a metal core assembled by being wound on a cylindrical battery, specifically, a secondary battery electrode substrate having a porous metal layer sintered material capable of being sintered at a comparatively low temperature, free from separation or coming-off from the metal core and excellent in adhesiveness, wherein a nickel layer is formed on at least one surface of a steel sheet, a low-melting-point metal layer is formed thereon, nickel powder is laminated thereon and the nickel powder is sintered at the melting point of the low-melting-point metal or higher and at temperatures lower than the melting point of nickel to form the porous sintered material which is then joined to the steel sheet. |
