PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a display device which mitigates the influence of such a small difference that each fluorescent body decreases in light emission intensity and suppresses deterioration in picture quality with the lapse of a time. SOLUTION: A display control part 4 generates a light emission control signal at the frame frequency of a vertical synchronizing signal synchronized with image data. A time counter 6 counts the cumulative display time of PDP (plasma display panel) device by dividing this frame frequency to generate a time elapse signal. This time elapse signal is transmitted in a specific signal form to a time elapse adjuster 3. The time elapse adjuster 3 varies and outputs multiplication coefficients (x), (y) and (z) for every specific time, e.g. 2,000 hours based on the time elapse signal outputted by the time counter 6. At this time, the gradation degree of white balance adjustment data x.R0 corresponding to the R fluorescent body having the longest life is decreased sequentially for every specific time. |
